Barony of Greenlake  Village of Hewe

Village of Wardel:

Population 90

Mixed human and half-elf, hobbyt

Wardel has a trio of hobbyt families, about 40 in all, and the rest of the community is about half-and-half human and half-elf, who are not differentiated by culture or manner.

The Hobbyt dwellings are all on the north side of the village, and are mostly low stone buildings with turf roofs, often with two sides embedded into the hillside. Just to the north of the village is a large hill, and then falling away to the lakeside, about 1/2 mile away. The village proper is fully cleared, as are the fields to the west, but the forest surrounds it from there.

The village, under Dmitri, was small enough not to have any permanent political representative. Instead, the reeve in Hewe monitors Wardel as well.

Wardel has no shops; the tavern is run by the village women in concert, housed at each of six different homes as the farmwife’s brew of small beer ripens.

Local NPCs:

Reder: the local priest of Soleth, the only cleric in town.

Phely: female human, a farmer’s daughter with a strong singing voice; she leads any local entertainment.

Even Rewsel: ranger, half-elf female, reports to the ranger in Hewe
